- Physicians and non-physician practitioners directing clinical staff who furnish the service
Eligibility & billing requirements
- Patient has a behavioral health condition being treated by the billing practitioner
- Documented consent to the service
- Care plan revision addressing the behavioral health condition
- Systematic assessment and monitoring, using validated rating scales where appropriate
- Brief interventions and continuity of care

Clinical staff spend 20 minutes over the month checking in on a patient's depression symptoms, updating the care plan, and coordinating a brief intervention, directed by the treating physician.
